The Embassy of Burundi in Washington DC organizes a meeting for the Burundian diaspora

In that same press release, it is reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, through the department in charge of the Diaspora, organized a series of meetings by continent/country with the members of the Burundian diaspora including the points on the agenda: discussion on the disputes observed within the diaspora and trying to find a lasting solution; the exchange on the diaspora week, 2023 edition relating to the exchange on the preparations for the next 2024 edition and miscellaneous. According to that same press release, those meetings are scheduled in the five continents, namely Africa, the United States, Europe, Asia and Oceania and Canada.
On Wednesday February 28, 2024, in a public press release, the Ambassador of the Republic of Burundi in Washington DC, in the United States of America, Mr. Jean Bosco Barege invited the Burundian diaspora living in the United States of America to participate massively and actively at a meeting planned for them on March 24 on zoom, from 5:00 p.m., Bujumbura time.
The meeting is organized as part of the implementation of the specific objectives of the National Diaspora policy, and the recommendations resulting from the meeting held on January 21, 2024.
