The Burundian diaspora is launching into agriculture and livestock breeding

On Friday January 19, 2024, The NIRAGIRA Community Development Project Cooperative (NCDP) organized an awareness workshop on the modern reproduction of banana plants for the Burundian population of Rwintamba locality.

The Administrator of the Gishubi commune, Madame Marie Chantal NDUWAYEZU, is delighted with that initiative, because, according to her, the production will be increased. It raises the awareness and encourages the population of that locality to get involved in the production of those banana plants in order to obtain a good yield and meet daily needs.
The representative of the NCDP cooperative, Mr. Alphonse NAHIMANA and member of the Burundian diaspora residing in Canada acquired the advantage of that opportunity to appeal to the entire Burundian diaspora in investing in Burundi especially in the sectors of agriculture and livestock. The Farmers from Rwintamba locality learned the different modern methods of growing the banana plants from the technicians from the NCDP cooperative. Note that that project is being expanded with the aim of spreading it across the entire Burundian territory.

As for the farmers of the Gishubi commune on Rwintamba hill, they appreciate the progress of this project because they are able to apply all the lessons learned concerning the modern reproduction of banana plants.
