The Ambassador of Burundi to Dar- Es-Salaam participates in the celebration of the Cultural Day at the Independent School of Dar ES Salaam

During the ceremonies, the young Burundians took an opportunity to exhibit the richness of Burundian culture through the various traditional dances, both female and male, accompanied by the local drum, as well as some traditional musical instruments and mead wine (akuki kuka inka) used from generation to generation during the dowry ceremonies in Burundi. Burundian culture, an honor of the day, was a great success to such an extent that the traditional dance attracted the young people from other nations, especially those from Tanzania, eagerly joining the team in large numbers. As described by the Ambassador of Burundi in Dar- Es-Salaam, the event was colored by a very beautiful cultural diversity achieved through cultural and artistic expressions from different regions and nations. Over the students of the school, all continents were represented.
On january 25, 2023, the Ambassador of the Republic of Burundi His Excellency Gervais Abayeho to Dar- Es-Salaam was invited to the exceptional ceremonies in support of the Burundian students of the Independent School of Dar Es Salaam invited to make a display of their culture.

It should be noted that the young Burundians of that school have shown great enthusiasm to exhibit the culture of Burundi among a multitude of cultures.

He said that the ceremonies was particularly beneficial for the Embassy of the Republic of Burundi in Dar- Es- Salaam which, coming in assistance to the young Burundians to access to various cultural or artistic objects, took the opportunity to promote and advertise coffee and tea from Burundi, as well as other items that are the pride of daily life in Burundi, especially the ndagala of Lake Tanganyika and the fruits of Burundi.
Before the closing of the ceremonies, the organizers proclaimed the best groups. The Burundian team took the third place, thanks to which a certificate of honor was awarded to the Embassy of the Republic of Burundi.
The cultural diversity between the young people of fourteen different nationalities, as it was realized that day, reflects a mutual respectful acceptance between the students, an eloquent sign that shows that international unity is possible.
