The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation His Excellency Albert SHINGIRO participated in the 8th Ministerial Conference of the Forum on Sino-African Cooperation (FOCAC) which was held in Dakar from november 29 to 30, 2021.
In his speech, His .Excellency Albert SHINGIRO expressed his sincere thanks to the organizers of the said Conference in particular and to all the participants in general.
He called on African Leaders in general to consolidate Peace, Stability, Happiness and shared Prosperity. He then underlined that this Conference is timely because it has the nature of strengthening Cooperation between African Countries and China.
He also praised the relevance of the proposed theme for this 8th ministerial meeting, which is that of “Deepening the Sino-African Partnership and Promoting Sustainable Development to build a future shared China-Africa Community in the new era”. This theme translates in the truest sense of the word the values and depth of historical ties between China and Africa.
The Burundian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation His Excellency Albert SHINGIRO welcomes the laudable actions carried out and the Solidarity shown by China to support African Countries in the prevention and fight against the Covid19 pandemic. Best friends are discovered in difficult times, he insisted.
The Burundian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation ended his remarks by calling on all his Counterparts to adopt more strategies to face and definitively raise the threats shaking Africa, especially those related to insecurity and political instability and those relating to environmental destruction, terrorist threats and armed groups.
