Humanitarian aid to the survivors of the Gatumba zone

On Friday April 23, 2021, Burundians living in France provided humanitarian aid to the survivors of the Gatumba Commune in Mutimbuzi Zone, after the floods which caused damage. The Chief of Gatumba Zone warmly thanked the Burundians living in France for having thought of them despite their multiple commitments. He encouraged other burundian diasporas to follow the example of this diaspora of France because the large population of the Gatumba Zone has been affected by these floods and is in very difficult situations.

For the delivering of this aid, the Director of the Framework Project for the Reintegration of disasters victims, Mr. Fabien YAMUREMYE, represented the Ministry of National Solidarity, Social Affairs, Human Rights and Gender. He was accompanied by an Executive from the General Directorate in charge of Diaspora at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, Mr. Tharcisse TUMUKUNDE.
