On Friday March 11, 2022, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation Mr. Ferdinand BASHIKAKO received in audience a delegation led by Mr. BOBRICH MWECUMI.
The two personalities discussed the topics of the implementation of irrigation techniques in Burundi, the importation of the Ugandan irrigation system in partnership with the Government of Burundi and Non-Governmental Organizations in the agricultural sector, to put the irrigation system that uses solar energy in areas where rain is rare (precipitation) and to train the Burundian population on how to use the Ugandan irrigation system.
Note that the Ugandan irrigation system allows harvesting four (4) times a year according to Mr. BOBRICH MWECUMI.
