From April 27 to May 1, 2021, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, in collaboration with Trade Mark East Africa, is organizing a retreat in Ngozi as part of the Development of the Action Plan for the National Strategy for Regional Integration (SNIR 2021-2027).
The SNIR is intended to be a Global Instrument for Regional Integration of Burundi within the Regional Organizations to which Burundi is a member. It also takes into account the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
This retreat saw the participation of members of the Interministerial Committee (from different institutions / public and private sectors) responsible of developing the said Strategy.
In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation calls on all stakeholders to combine their efforts in order to make Burundian products / services competitive on the regional and African market.
