The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its gratitude to the Bulgarian communities abroad, with whose valuable partnership and cooperation it became possible to organize the vote abroad for President and Vice President and the National Assembly on November 14, 2021.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, whose main priorities are to protect the rights of Bulgarian citizens abroad, highly appreciates the civic activity of our compatriots, which has contributed to the creation of the best possible conditions for holding fair and transparent elections abroad.
For the elections of November 14, 2021, 750 sections were opened abroad in 68 countries. More than 2,500 SEC members abroad were nominated by the Bulgarian communities, and more than 200 of their representatives were nominated as SEC members in their capacity as representatives of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also thanked the employees of the Ministry in our country and in our foreign missions, as well as the other Bulgarian institutions, who were actively involved in providing their representatives or technical means for organizing the vote abroad.
We hope that, as before, our fruitful cooperation with the partners from the Bulgarian communities abroad and with the departments and organizations in our country will continue in order to guarantee the constitutional right to vote of our compatriots abroad and in the second round of the elections for President and Vice President on November 21, 2021.
