Presentation of the book “The Biographer” by the Bulgarian writer Stefan Kisyov at the Consulate General in New York

The Consul General, Mr. Angel Angelov, welcomed the guests to the first book presentation at the Consulate General for this year and informed about some of the most significant upcoming events, incl. the raising of the Bulgarian flag to celebrate the National Day scheduled for March 4 at 11:30 a.m. at one of the most prominent places in New York – Bowling Green (next to the Bull on Wall Street).
On February 23, 2023, the Consulate General hosted a presentation of the book “The Biographer” by the Bulgarian writer Stefan Kisyov. His new novel is an exciting and innovative account of the life of Constantine Cyril the Philosopher. The main character is a ninth-century biographer who writes a biography of Constantine the Philosopher and embarks on a journey to Rome, Venice, Constantinople, Pliska to study his life and work.
The presentation of the book was followed by a lively discussion, which was moderated by Ms. Vlada Tomova. The actors Bianca Ilich and Sevar Ivanov read an excerpt from the book. At the end of the event, the author signed autographs and presented a copy of his book to the Consulate General.
