Teodora Genchovska was adamant that Bulgaria considers the State of Qatar one of its most important partners in the Gulf region. “The numerous visits of dignitaries in recent years, including the two meetings between the Emir of the State of Qatar and the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, are proof of our friendly relations,” our first diplomat said.
The issue of facilitation of the visa regime for the citizens of Bulgaria and Qatar was also in the focus of the meeting. Ambassador Al-Mushiiri noted that his country has submitted the necessary documents complying with the procedures and conditions for the visa exemption between Qatar and the European Union countries.
Minister Genchovska highly evaluated the bilateral dialogue between Bulgaria and Qatar and emphasized the potential for building on the cooperation in the interest of the prosperity of both countries. During the talks, the advantages of our country as a stable and secure country and a predictable international partner were also highlighted.

Teodora Genchovska congratulated the State of Qatar on the progress of the preparatory activities for the organization and holding of the upcoming World Cup, which the country will host.
During the meeting, mutual interest was expressed in deepening the bilateral relations and strengthening cooperation in the fields of energy, agriculture, technology, economy and education.
