Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodora Genchovska welcomed the Bulgarian citizens evacuated from Kyiv at the Durankulak border checkpoint

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodora Genchovska welcomed the Bulgarian citizens evacuated from Kyiv at the Durankulak border checkpoint.

Nearly 200 people arrived in the four buses and cars of the mission in Kyiv – Bulgarian, Ukrainian, German and Armenian citizens, as well as citizens of the Republic of Northern Macedonia.

Speaking to the media, Minister Genchovska noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had done everything possible to evacuate our compatriots from Kyiv, which happened with the assistance of the Bulgarian security services. According to her, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Regional Administration of Varna have set up an organization for the accommodation of our compatriots and foreign citizens who arrived from Kyiv in hotels in the sea capital.

The Situation Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to help Bulgarian citizens wishing to leave Ukraine, said Minister Genchovska.
