The Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, is happy to present the online exhibition “Bulgaria through the children’s eyes”. An initiative dedicated to the National Day of Bulgaria “March 3 – the Liberation Day of Bulgaria”, and realized thanks to the amazing children from Azerbaijan and Bulgaria. The children showed incredible curiosity about our country and managed to recreate the spirit, culture, traditions and nature of Bulgaria with talent and creativity worthy of admiration.
We express our sincere gratitude to the children, their parents and teachers for their interest in getting to know Bulgaria and the efforts made. We also would like to thank the members of the jury consisting of: Gabriel Panev, a representative of the contemporary generation of Bulgarian artists, a graduate of the University of Veliko Tarnovo “St. Cyril and St. Methodius”, majoring in Painting, Veneta Simeonova, a graduate of the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts “Prof. Assen Diamandiev” in Plovdiv, majoring in Painting, and IslamBakhshaliyev, Ambassador for Peace, Director of the Social and Psychological Rehabilitation Centre of the Youth – “Dirchelish” (Revival) in Baku.
The task of the jury was extremely difficult, as all works deserve admiration. In the category for children up to 10 years old, Maryam Movlamli, 8, was awarded first place. Daniz Quliyeva, 10, is in second place andZahra Abdurahmanli, 10, is in third place. In the category for children aged 11 to 16, Madina Hamzatova, 11, is in first place, followed by Gulhanam Amirli, aged 16, in second place, and the third place goes to Yulker Alieva, 16. More than 40 children have been awarded by the jury for their works with special recognitions.

When the epidemic situation in Azerbaijan allows, the Embassy of Bulgaria will organize a live exhibition, which will present the best works in the competition. The children at the awarded places in each category will be invited to a ceremony at the Embassy to receive their prizes.
