Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Irena Dimitrova participated on 22 June 2022 in the National Conference on the Bulgarian Language “Sacred Language” at Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv, initiated by Vice President Iliana Iotova.
The forum was opened by the President Rumen Radev and the Minister of Education and Science Academician Nikolai Denkov, Deputy Ministers of Education and Culture, representatives of academia, non-governmental organizations and media also took part in it.
The participants in the event adopted a Final Declaration in support of the establishment of a national institute for education and culture, which would promote the Bulgarian language and culture around the world.
The director of the State Institute for Culture under the Minister of Foreign Affairs Snezhana Yoveva outlined the priority tasks in the field of cultural diplomacy.
