Deputy Foreign Minister Irena Dimitrova and British Ambassador to Bulgaria Rob Dixon presented certificates for successfully completing the first anti-disinformation course organized by the British Government Communications Service in co-operation with the Diplomatic Institute for a total of 20 Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Défense of Bulgaria staff.
Deputy Minister Dimitrova stressed the importance of the training in the context of current events and the dynamically developing information environment. Building sustainable capabilities in the field of strategic communications and countering misinformation in the Bulgarian diplomatic service and public administration is a key priority for the government and requires joint efforts, she said, thanking the British country for the excellent bilateral cooperation in this area.
The 6-week course was the first in a series of joint initiatives between Bulgaria and the United Kingdom to share experiences in the field of strategic communications.
