On February 10, 2022, Consul General Svetoslav Stankov held a meeting with Cook County Sheriff, Thomas J. Dart.
????Cook County is officially the second-most-populous county in the USA (more than 5 million people) and the Sheriff’s office directs around 7 000 officers.
Mr. Stankov has the honor to be escorted by Sergeant Georgi Mirchev and Officer Rangel Gachev, who are the only two Bulgarians at the Sheriff’s Office.
During the meeting, Mr. Stankov and Mr. Darth discussed specific opportunities for enhancing the dialogue between Bulgarian community and Sheriff’s office and how to make more Bulgarians to follow the exemplary path of their two compatriots.
