This year, in the 22nd edition of the Ice Festival in Harbin, Bulgaria is represented with an ice configuration of sculptures called “Sea of Roses”. The ice configuration is of impressive size and includes a light show with beautiful changing colors. This year the Festival focuses on presenting the Central and Eastern European countries (of the 17+1 Initiative).
Every winter people from all over the country flock to Harbin to see the figures of the Harbin Ice Festival. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, currently the only way for the audience to see the sculptures is through a thematic video about the ice figures representing the 17 CEE countries.
The first part of the video was published on the occasion of the Chinese New Year by the Harbin Foreign Affairs Office on the social platforms Tik Tok (Douyin) and Wechat. The Bulgarian sculpture “catches the eye” with its light show and the choice of cultural aspect to represent the country
