On 6 July 2021 the Ambassador of Bulgaria in Islamabad Irena Gancheva held a meeting with the Federal Minister for Science and Technology of Pakistan Shibli Faraz to discuss the opportunities for bilateral cooperation in scientific areas of mutual interest, including energy resources and energy efficient technologies, information and communication systems, environment protection, biotechnology, etc.
Both sides agreed to work towards enhancing the contacts and exchanges between prominent scientific institutions of Bulgaria and Pakistan in view of their potential to contribute to the overall development and expansion of the bilateral ties.
