On December 02, 2022, the MP Sharbel Maroun from the “Free Patriotic Movement” from the West Bekaa plus Rashaya region, accompanied by Mister. Joseph Haddad, paid the courtesy visit to the Charge of the Republic of Bulgaria in Lebanon. He fulfilled with the ambassador Boyan Belev, the head of the Political Section Ivaylo Hristov as well as the head of the Commercial Area Plamen Vasilev. In a helpful atmosphere the conversation during the meeting they touched upon different issues concerning the current situation in Bulgaria and Lebanon, common areas of interest for stronger future assistance. Mr. Maroun was briefed about the program for Bulgarian Developmet Aid and the project funded through this program in Lebanon. With regard to politics, the discussion included the need for Lebanon to work for the election of a new president, to form a federal government, to implement IMF-sponsored reforms and to stabilize the national economy.
