On March 11, 2021, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Ankara, Angel Cholakov presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The official ceremony, held at the Bestepe Presidential Complex, was attended by senior representatives of the Turkish administration and officials from the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Bulgaria in Turkey.
During the conversation with the head of state of Turkey, after the ceremony of presenting the credentials, both sides noted the traditionally friendly relations, emphasizing the great potential for our trade and economic cooperation. The joint contribution to ensuring the stability of the Balkan Peninsula, which is also a model for regional cooperation, was also emphasized.
