Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs chairs meeting of Joint Coordination Committee between Bahrain, Israel
The Joint Coordination Committee between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel held its first meeting today at the headquarters of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain was headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, in the presence of the Chief of Strategic Affairs, H.E. Ambassador Nancy Abdullah Jamal. The Israeli side was headed by H.E. the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alon Ushpiz.
Dr. Shaikh Abdullah explained that the meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee comes in preparation for the political dialogue meeting between the two countries’ foreign ministers, in implementation of the memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation between the Bahraini and Israeli Ministries of Foreign Affairs, signed on October 18, 2020 in Manama.
H.E. the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs stressed the importance of continuous communication between the two friendly countries in order to fulfil their common goals and achieve peace and development in the region.
For his part, the Director-General of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the development of bilateral relations, commending the Kingdom’s vision of peace and coexistence, wishing it further progress and prosperity.
