The Shura Council Human Rights Committee’s Chairman and members visit the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies


Within the framework of joint cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the legislative authority, a number of members of the Human Rights Committee of the Shura Council, led by Ahmed Mahdi Abdul Nabi Al-Haddad, today, Thursday, March 4, 2021, visited the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies.

The chairperson and members of the committee were received by the Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, Dr. Shaikha Munira bint Khalifa Al Khalifa who welcomed them.


She uttered appreciation over the tireless efforts made by the Committee in protecting and promoting human rights principles and noted the important role it plays in spreading this culture Within the comprehensive development process of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

She reviewed means of cooperation and joint coordination between the Academy and the Committee in various fields and stressed the importance of exchanging experiences at the professional and training level in line with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ keen desire to promote all areas of cooperation and joint coordination between the executive and legislative powers.


For their part, the Chairman and members of the Human Rights Committee praised the important role played by the academy in training the diplomatic cadres at various levels and commended the distinguished programs and courses it offers to develop these cadres and hone their skills.

They noted the importance of investing in the human element in terms of qualification and development, affirming the Shura Council’s keenness to continue joint work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Academy to serve the interests of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
