The Ramadan Ambassadors’ Council Programme, in its first version, concludes


The Ramadan Ambassadors’ Council Programme, in its first version, organized by the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, concluded at the end of its seventh session, held virtually today.

The 7th session kicked off with the participation of Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Hae-Kwan Chung, under the moderation of the Academy’s Executive Director, Dr. Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa and in the presence of a number of officials and members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the session, the Korean ambassador touched on the most important components of the Korean diplomacy and explained the importance of Korea’s public diplomacy, based on culture, knowledge, and foreign policy.

He also pointed out Korea’s role in economic development and efforts to bring peace to the Korean Peninsula within the framework of its foreign policy, giving an overview of his diplomatic experience.
He gave a number of pieces of advice to the young diplomats, notably on the importance to feel that they represent their country, and the need to specialize and delve into specific topics and issues to fulfill the task of representing their country to the fullest.

At the conclusion of the session, Chung expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Executive Director of the academy for giving him the opportunity to meet and interact with the Ministry’s employees.

Dr. Shaikha Muneera extended her sincere thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, for his continuous support for the programme and said Ramadan Ambassadors’ Council Programme had met great interaction from the ambassadors of the countries accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain, officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and employees.
She said the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies plans to host more ambassadors during the second version of the programme to benefit from their diverse experiences.
