The Minister of Foreign Affairs meets Russian officials
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, currently visiting the Russian Federation to participate in the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, met today the Chairman of the Presidium of the Russian Association for International Cooperation and First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship, Sergey Kalashnikov, and Secretary-General of the Association, Vladimir Polozkov.
During the meeting, the Minister noted the close and ever-growing relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation, which reflect the keenness of the two friendly countries to move forward with these relations towards broader horizons in a manner that meets common interests.
He expressed the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to develop economic, industrial, and commercial cooperation with the Russian Federation and expand its various fields to bring mutual benefits to the two friendly countries and peoples.
For his part, Kalashnikov expressed his appreciation for the level of distinguished friendship between the two friendly countries and noted the Russian Federation’s aspiration to strengthen the existing bilateral cooperation relations in various economic, commercial, investment and other fields for the benefit of the two friendly peoples, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and advancement.
They also discussed and exchanged consultations and views on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation at all levels, in addition to issues of common concern.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Moscow, Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Saati, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and tourism, Eman Ahmed Al Dossari, and a number of the Ministry’s officials.
