The Foreign Minister meets Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Presidential Special Envoy to the Middle East and Africa
Within his current visit to the Russian Federation to participate in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met today with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Presidential Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov.
During the meeting, the two sides stressed the depth of the strong historical relations between the two countries, which are witnessing steady development and growth at all levels, in light of the keenness of the leaders of the two friendly countries to consolidate bilateral cooperation and joint coordination on various issues.
They expressed pride in the strength of the friendship relations that are based on mutual respect and appreciation and reviewed the efforts made so far to propel these relations to broader levels and serve common interests and desired goals.
The two sides also reviewed developments in the Middle East region, political and security challenges, and ways to end the conflicts in the region and reinstate permanent comprehensive peace for the benefit of its peoples.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Moscow, Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Saati, Director General of the Foreign Ministry’s Affairs, Talal Abdul Salam Al Ansari, and a number of officials, the two sides also discussed a number of topics and issues of common interest.
