MOFA Undersecretary receives Philippine Ambassador to Bahrain, agree on consolidation of bilateral ties
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, today received the Ambassador of the Republic of Philippines to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Alfonso A. Ver.
Dr. Shaikha Rana welcomed the Ambassador, expressed pride and appreciation for the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries in various fields and affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to continue strengthening cooperation, in light of the presence of a large Philippine community in the Kingdom of Bahrain that plays an effective role in the kingdom’s development.
In his turn, the ambassador expressed his happiness over the meeting, which reflects the existing strong cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all accredited embassies, affirming his country’s keenness to consolidate its friendly relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He also expressed admiration of the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Addressing the Coronavirus (Covid 19) pandemic and providing free vaccines to all citizens and residents without exception, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
The meeting also touched on a number of other issues of common concern.
