MoFA Undersecretary for Political Affairs chairs meeting of Communiqué Drafting Committee to prepare for 148th Session of Ministerial Council of GCC
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa virtually chaired today the meeting of the Communique Drafting Committee to prepare for the 148th Session of the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council, in the presence of their excellencies the representatives of member states of the GCC and the participation of the Assistant Secretary-General for Political and Negotiation Affairs of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
His Excellency Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa delivered a speech in which he welcomed the participants, stressing the importance of the role played by the Committee to support GCC and contribute to the development of joint Gulf action, within the framework of developing a unified policy for the Council that preserves its interests and meets the aspirations and ambitions of its member states’ citizens.
The Drafting Committee discussed draft decisions and recommendations that will be discussed by Their Highnesses, Excellencies, and Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Gulf Cooperation Council, during their meeting next Wednesday at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh.
