Minister of Foreign Affairs meets with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Republic of Yemen
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met at the Ministry today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the brotherly Republic of Yemen, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs hailed the brotherly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Yemen, affirming the keenness of the Kingdom to further develop bilateral ties for the benefit of both countries and people.
The Minister also expressed the Kingdom’s solidarity with the Yemeni Government, highlighting its support to restoring legitimacy and liberating the Yemeni territories from the terrorist Houthi militias, defending Yemen’s sovereignty, and combating all foreign interventions in Yemen. He also commended the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in implementing the Riyadh Agreement between the Yemeni Government and the Southern Transitional Council and structuring a government with political competence.
For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen noted the brotherly relations between the two countries. He also valued the supporting positions of the Kingdom of Bahrain towards Yemen.
He expressed appreciation for the support given by the Gulf Cooperation Council to the Republic of Yemen against the Iran-backed Houthi militias, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries and means of strengthening them in various fields. They also reviewed the latest political developments in the region, in addition to the efforts of the United Nations to reach a political solution to bring peace to Yemen in accordance with international resolutions.
The meeting was attended the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for International Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Regional and Cooperation Council Affairs, Ambassador Waheed Mubarak Sayyar, the Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Ali Hasan Al-Ahmadi, and the accompanying delegation of the Yemeni Minister.
