Foreign Minister visits MoFA Document and Correspondence Archiving Committee
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, paid a visit today to the Ministry’s Document and Correspondence Archiving Committee, accompanied by the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Consular and Administrative Affairs, Ambassador Tawfeeq Ahmed Al-Mansoor.
Upon his arrival, the Foreign Minister was received by the Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Security Affairs and Head of the Document of Correspondence Archiving Committee at the Ministry, Ambassador Saeed bin Mohammed Al-Faihani, where he briefed the Minister on the works and tasks of the Committee.
On this occasion, the Foreign Minister expressed his thanks to the Head and Members of the Committee for the tangible efforts they exerted in performing the tasks of the Committee. He also noted the importance of the work done by the Committee in preserving and archiving hundreds of thousands of documents and letters that represent an important historical record of the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs over many years of successful and pioneering diplomatic work.
The Minister affirmed that the work of the Committee supplemented the work of other specialized committees formed by the Ministry, explaining that the completion of these tasks will facilitate the opportunity for researchers and specialists to gain access to and learn about the historical information that would help them in conducting specialized research and studies, wishing everyone further success.
