The Minister for Europe and foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka attended the extraordinary virtual meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs.
The main focus of the meeting was the discussions on Russia’s military build-up in and around Ukraine and broader European security issues.
In her intervention, Minister Xhaçka underlined the strategic importance of unity and cohesion of the countries of the Alliance vis a vis current challenges to our joint security in Europe.
“Albania supports the dialogue with Russia that respects the core principles and foundational documents of European security”.
At the same time the chief diplomat welcomed the Geneva meeting between USA and Russia as well as the Nato-Russia meeting in the framework of the Nato-Russia Council.
