The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, expressed her condolences for the passing away of the President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli.
In a Twitter post, Minister Xhaçka described Sassoli as a champion of European values, an outstanding president and a dear friend of Albania.

The President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli, passed away at the age of 65, after being seriously ill for more than two weeks and canceled all the official activities.
Sassoli was hospitalized in Italy last month due to a serious complication with his immune system.
