Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, this Friday had an online meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Zbigniew Rau.
Minister Xhaçka praised the support that Poland has shown in the European integration process of Albania, while emphasizing that our country is waiting for the date of the First Intergovernmental Conference within the first six months of 2021.
The two ministers also agreed on increasing the commitment to deepen bilateral relations and cooperation between Albania and Poland. Both assessed that the integration of the Western Balkans into the European Union is a matter of strategic importance.
The Albanian chief diplomat praised the solidarity of the Polish people in the reconstruction process after the earthquake of November 26, 2019 and the support shown during the COVID-19 pandemic.
