M Muttaqi & Mr. Potzel spoke in detail about the UNAMA leadership’s remarks on Afghanistan at the UNSC session next week, the arrival of the newly appointed UNSG-SR for Afghanistan, and other issues. Mr. Muttaqi assured UNAMA head of further cooperation with all diplomatic missions in Kabul, including the United Nations; taking strong security measures to ensure the security of their compounds & employees; and providing more facilities for the movement of relevant employees. FM Muttaqi said IEA was taking on a policy of constructive interaction with the world where UNAMA can play a significant role thereon.
Today, Deputy and Acting UNAMA head, Marcus Potzel, & accompanying delegation called on Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi.
