The ambassador of China to Afghanistan, Mr. Wang Yu called on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi and addressed a number of important issues.

FM Muttaqi expressed hope that relations between the two countries will become even deeper and stronger and expressed gratitude to the government and people of China for showing willingness to resume unfinished projects for the interest of Afghans.
At the beginning, Mr. Wang Yu said that the government of China continues to support the new Afghan interim government and considers relationship between the two countries important.
The Chinese Ambassador made mention of the assistance of winter goods by his country upon the arrival of winter, adding that the necessary assistance to the needy Afghans will be provided through a mechanism with mutual understanding of the concerned organisations.
He also praised China’s recent move to reduce tariffs to zero on ninety eight percent of Afghan products.
