Foreign Minister Receives Pakistani Ambassador to Kabul

KABUL – Foreign Minister Mohammad Haneef Atmar received Pakistani Ambassador Mansoor Ahmad Khan to discuss issues of bilateral interest, including economic cooperation and the Afghan peace process.

Emphasizing the importance of a comprehensive ceasefire, the Foreign Minister said that securing peace in Afghanistan is in the interest of all, paving the way for enhanced economic cooperation and regional ties.

The two sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral cooperation, including the Afghanistan-Pakistan Transit Agreement (APTTA).

The Foreign Minister asked the Pakistani Ambassador to convey to the Pakistani Foreign Minister Afghanistan’s serious concerns on rocket shelling from across the Durand Line, calling it unacceptable. Mr. Atmar stressed on addressing problems through dialogue.
