Secretary Blinken to Deliver Remarks at the Launch of First Oughout. S. Strategy on Global Women’s Economic Security

This particular whole-of-government strategy will try to streamline and mobilize U. S. foreign policy, global programming and development support, trade policy and advertising, private sector development, plus partnerships to ensure women’s complete and equitable participation within the global economy. USAID will lead a panel on the Gender Equity and Equality Action (GEEA) Fund plus GPC will lead the high-level panel including senior officials from participating firms immediately following the launch event.

Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken will launch the first-ever Oughout. S. Strategy on Worldwide Women’s Economic Security on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 11: 00 a. m. EST in the Benjamin Franklin Room at the Section of State. Secretary Blinken will be joined by Assistant to the President and Director of the White House Gender Policy Council Jennifer Klein and United States Agency meant for International Development Administrator Samantha Power.
The program will also be streamed live on the State Department homepage and Youtube funnel beginning in 11: 00 a. mirielle.
Media representatives may attend the launch event upon presentation of one of the following: (1) the U. S. government-issued recognition card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Section of Defense, or International Press Center); (2) the media-issued photo identification credit card; or (3) a letter from the requester’s employer upon letterhead verifying his/her work status as a journalist, associated with an official photo identification (driver’s license or passport). People who do not have a State Department developing pass should allow adequate time for visitor security processing at the 23rd Street entrance.
