The U.S. Embassy and Consulates in India return all citizenship documents to applicants via FedEx. The courier fee is INR 500 for delivery within India. If you apply for a service in-person, a FedEx representative is available in our office to assist you with payment via cash or credit card. If you are submitting your passport renewal application by mail, please submit a courier slip (PDF 6.5KB) and an additional bank draft for INR 500 payable to “FedEx Express TSCS (India) Pvt. Ltd.”
Bank drafts for courier fees can be drawn from any nationalized, foreign bank or co-operative bank operating in India. Once your document reaches FedEx, you will be able to check the status of your delivery on FedEx’s website using the air waybill provided by FedEx.
PLEASE NOTE: CRBA certificates can be delivered to the United States from India at a cost of INR 5,000 (Inclusive of DFS & 18% GST)
