Secretary Blinken furthermore underscored the strong industrial and trade ties among our countries and recognized Kenya’s leadership in addressing critical regional security issues in northern Ethiopia, eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Sudan, and Somalia.
Admin of State Antony L. Blinken met today with Kenyan President William Ruto on the sidelines of the U. S. -Africa Leaders Peak. The Secretary reiterated the importance the United States places upon its strategic partnership along with Kenya. He indicated gratitude for Kenya’s cooperation on the UN Security Council and pledged to continue working on shared global priorities.
