Following is the text of Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed’s video message to the Slovakia Ministry of Foreign Affairs social media campaign on the occasion of International Women’s Day, observed today:

Sincere greetings from the United Nations Headquarters in New York and many thanks to Slovakia for raising awareness on gender parity and fair participation of women through this “Women in Diplomacy Week” campaign.

I have worked very closely with many Slovak professionals, like Olga Algayerova, the Executive Secretary of United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (ECE), and Ambassador Michal Mlynar, Permanent Representative of Slovakia to the United Nations.  I look forward to engaging with many others, too.
