The resolution requires the cessation of violence; immediate and concrete execution of ASEAN’s Five Stage Consensus; respect for the democratic will of the people associated with Myanmar; respect for individual rights, and accountability for individuals who violate them; full plus unhindered humanitarian access to all those in need; and the immediate release of all those randomly detained, including Aung San Suu Kyi and President Win Myint. In February 2021, the particular military overturned the results of a democratic election, seized power and plunged Myanmar and it is 55 million people right into a series of cascading crises – humanitarian, economic and political. It is the result of many weeks of careful consultation with Council People, with ASEAN members, along with other key regional partners.
