Mr. Alexis FRANCK announced that initially, these investors will build a Shopping Center in the Gatumba zone, MUTIMBUZI commune which will be used for trade between Burundi and neighboring countries, in particular the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania and Zambia via the shipping from Lake Tanganyika.
On Tuesday, October 17, 2022, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation Mr. Ferdinand BASHIKAKO received in audience a delegation of Belgian investors from the company TARGET CONSULTING GROUP led by Mr. Alexis FRANCK.
Their exchanges were centered on certain projects that this company wants to carry out in Burundi in the fields of energy, telecommunications, protection of forests and the development of the International Airport Melchior NDADAYE and the Port of Bujumbura etc.
The Permanent Secretary appreciated their projects and welcomed the investors to Burundi. Mr. Ferdinand BASHIKAKO said that the Government of Burundi encourages investors working in the economic development sector and projects that are among the priorities of the National Plan of Burundi 2018-2027.
