Japan’s Ambassador Calls On Minister Griffith

Ambassador Fukushima agreed with Minister Griffith and spoke about a programme that was implemented prior to COVID-19, where Barbadian youth had visited Japan.Minister Griffith also expressed an interest in road tennis being introduced to Japan, in the quest to make the indigenous game a global sport.The relations between Barbados and Japan will “continue to grow” as the two countries cooperate in many areas, including sports.Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Charles Griffith, in discussion with Japan’s Ambassador to Barbados, Kayoko Fukushima, and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Yolande Howard, following their courtesy call.
