Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited Qatar on 3 November 2019.
Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani of Qatar.
At the meeting preparations for the 5th meeting of Turkey-Qatar Supreme Strategic Committee, bilateral relations and regional issues were discussed.
On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu was received by Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar.
At the meeting Minister Çavuşoğlu conveyed greetings of President Erdoğan and thanked for Qatar’s support to Operation Peace Spring.
Later that day, Minister Çavuşoğlu attended the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Somalia Contact Group Ministerial Meeting in Doha.
During his speech at the meeting Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that easing sufferings of brotherly Somalia was the responsibility of humanity but first and foremost the duty of Ummah.
Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that our humanitarian and development assistance to meet Somalia’s needs would continue.
