Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited Budapest to attend the inauguration of the Representation Office of the Turkic Council in Hungary on 18-19 September 2019.
Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov of Kyrgyzstan on 18 September 2019.
At the meeting, our bilateral relations were discussed.
Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that we would take the necessary steps to increase our bilateral trade volume to the level of its real potential.
On 19 September 2019 Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Peter Szijjarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.
At the meeting our excellent relations with Hungary and new cooperation opportunities were discussed.
Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that we welcomed Hungary’s interest in the Turkic Council and the opening of the Representation Office in Budapest.
On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu attended the inauguration of the Representation Office of the Turkic Council in Hungary.
In his address at the inauguration Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that the Turkic Council, established 10 years ago, had become an international organization of interest for other countries as well and stressed that the Turkic Council Hungary Office would develop relations between the Turkic World and European nations and also increase interaction between business people conducting activities in these two geographies.
Moreover, Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that this Office was also important for the confirmation of the ties and common values shared by Hungary and the Turkic World.
At the meeting of the Turkic Council, Minister Çavuşoğlu stressed that we would continue to cooperate with brotherly countries in the Turkic Council in various fields from economy to communications, from energy to transport.
Finally, Minister Çavuşoğlu and the Foreign Ministers of the other member States were received by Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary.
Minister Çavuşoğlu thanked Prime Minister Viktor Orban for his support for the opening of the Representation Office of the Turkic Council in Budapest.
