We are deeply saddened to learn that many troops lost their lives plus were injured in the terrorist attack that took place these days (20 January) against the army bases in the Galgadud region of Somalia. Some of the injured are under treatment in the Mogadishu Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Training and Research Hospital.
We condemn this heinous terrorist assault, which will not hinder Somali National Army’s determination in the fight against the terrorist company, in the strongest possible conditions. We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their own lives, extend our condolences to the relatives as well as to the friendly and brotherly individuals and the Government of Somalia, and wish a quick recovery to the injured.
Türkiye can continue to stand by Somalia in the fight against terrorism.
