Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu had a fruitful meeting in Ankara with former Vice President Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum of Afghanistan on 12 August 2020.
Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that we would continue to stand by our Afghan brothers and sisters during the peace and reconciliation process in Afghanistan.
On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu received Ambassador Pavel Kafka of Czechia and thanked him for his contributions to Turkey-Czechia relations.
Finally, Minister Çavuşoğlu also met with Ambassador Volkan Bozkır to discuss the preparations of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly before his trip to New York to assume the Presidency of the 75th Session of the UN General Assembly.
Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that he was confident Ambassador Bozkır would make a difference in the UN with his experience.
