Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu had a meeting in Ankara with Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation Minister Arancha González Laya of Spain on 27 July 2020.
At the meeting, Turkey-Spain bilateral relations and regional issues, particularly Libya and Eastern Mediterranean were discussed.
Following the meeting, the two Ministers held a joint press conference.
Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that we stood in solidarity with Spain in every international platform and that we aimed to increase our bilateral trade volume to $20 billion.
Minister Çavuşoğlu also stated that we were ready to hold the Intergovernmental Summit and the Business Forum in 2021.
