On 19 November 2020, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu had a meeting in Ankara with Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation of Afghanistan. During the meeting, developments in the Afghanistan peace process were discussed. Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that we appreciated Dr. Abdullah Abdullah’s efforts in this peace process and that Turkey’s strong support for friendly and brotherly Afghan people’s peace demand would continue.
On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu met with new experts starting to work in the Directorate for EU Affairs of our Ministry. Minister Çavuşoğlu wished them a successful career and welcomed them in the Directorate for EU Affairs and our Ministry.
