The Embassy of Sri Lanka to Lebanon and Syria Commemorated Vesak at the Embassy premises on 26 May 2021.
Rev. Marathugoda Uparathna Thero from Copenhagen Buddhist temple, Denmark, conducted the event through zoom technology.
The Embassy staff who observed “Atasill” prayed and wished good health and wellbeing to all Sri Lankans, Lebanese and Syrians who are battling with COVID – 19. Offering of flowers, incense, Gilanpasa and lighting of Vesak lanterns was done in the evening.
Arrangements are also made for Sunday the 30 May 2021, for the migrant worker’s community to observe sill via zoom link at their residences.
