The Ambassador for the United Arab Emirates in Sri Lanka, Khaled Nasser Al – Ameri called on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prof. G.L. Peiris on 16 March, 2022 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Colombo.
At the meeting, Foreign Minister Prof. Peiris highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the areas of trade, maritime, defense and international forums, for mutual benefit. Foreign Minister Peiris also reiterated the willingness of the Government of Sri Lanka to work closely with the United Arab Emirates to elevate the long-standing relations between the two countries to greater heights.
UAE Ambassador Al-Ameri assured Foreign Minister Peiris that he would enhance the existing bilateral relations and cooperation in new areas of cooperation.
