4 New Associate Ministers sworn in
(GOVT. PRESS SECRETARIAT)- Four new Associate Ministers have joined Cabinet following a brief swearing in ceremony this morning.
The new Associate Minister include;
1. Faleomavaega Titimaea Tafua.
MINISTRY OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENT, (M.N.R.E.)
2. Fuiono Tenina Crichton
MINISTRY OF COMMUNICATION, INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY, (M.C.I.T.) & LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY, (PARLIAMENT).
3. Laumatiāmanu Ringo M. Purcell
MINISTRY OF WORKS, TRANSPORT & INFRASTRUCTURE, (M.W.T.I.)
4. Maiava Fuiono Tito Asafo
MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE & FISHERIES.
5. Magele Sekati Fiaui
MINISTRY OF FIANCE
The swearing in includes two new Associate Ministers one for the MNRE and the second for MCIT.
While the other two new Associate Ministers are added to the M.W.T.I with Laumatiamanu joining Niuava Eti Malolo while at M.A.F. Maiava will work alongside his colleague Vaele Paia’aua Iona Paia’aua Sekuina.
In her congratulatory address Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mataafa reminded the new Associate Ministers that taking their oath is sacred before the Almighty noting the adding new Associate Ministers to the M.W.T.I. and M.A.F. sectors reflects the Government’s mission to deliver effect and efficient projects and reforms for the benefit of the people.
“Each individual is unique and gifted with God-given talents and I urge you to use those talents to benefit our country,” she reiterated noting that joining Cabinet as Associate Ministers elevates their duties and obligations to thinking outside of their hats as Members of Parliament but Cabinet Members here to serve the whole of Samoa.
